Thanks for the help, guys :) Usually I left click the downloadbutton and then left click again to save, didn't think through to use the old fashion way by rightclicking, sorry for the confusion !

Yes - you can configure your browser to not open certain file types within itself, or as @metallica101 says, right click, Save As.

Download is fine. Are you sure it is not browser related. I use Firefox and then I have to right click on the download button. Otherwise it tries to play it directly in the browser but the player doesn't recognize mkv files and shows an error. Your problem sound very much like that.

Whoops sorry :-[ I can't get the download to start, it immediately gives an error as soon as I click on the downloadbutton :/

Please use the [error] button, its there for a reason. Did you ensure your download completed and are you using VLC Player?

Can't download because the video is damaged :(
