Resconi had miraculously saved his life on Saturday, September 20, 1997, at the Juan Manuel Fangio racetrack, in Balcarce, when doctors Luis and Gustavo Tita had to perform a tracheostomy after an accident with a Super Renault Formula car. On that occasion, he was transferred to the Balcarce Regional Hospital and then to the Private Hospital of the Community of Mar del Plata, where he remained in a coma for a long time. His recovery took a long time in a rehabilitation center in Buenos Aires. In 1999 he lost his life at the age of 24 after his car hit the head of a bridge injuring 2 others including a 12 year old boy.
