I know the sting over a minor burn. Cannot even imagine what that would feel like. These guys/gals are tough to ride bikes at these speeds. Burns half your arm off and the response is "I'll be back next race weekend" :o :o :o

An interview with him just aired, he says "just a big scratch" and had skin grafted from his leg to his arm. He said he hopes to race in Malaysia but if it's as deep as reported then i doubt he'll be able to.

Another update, the burn was so bad, that it burnt through his skin, muscle and tendon all the way down to his to bone :/ He will not appear again at Australia, or at the Malaysian race weekend.

Turns out the report (within this video) that he hit a seagull was incorrect. He fell off down the straight and slid for so long that he burned through his leathers and through the skin around his elbow and wrist. He has been transferred to hospital where he is likely to undergo a skin graft tomorrow.
