Bingo board not guving rewards

Just curious as it said there was a maintenance going on. But haven't receieved my rewards from bingo board. Nor can i send msgs to other members. Anyone else having same issues?

I just played a card on the bingo board that completed 3 rows and no rewards showed up for me either. Although I do already have copies of all the cards corresponding to the rows I completed.

i have tried sending 3 messages today and when i press" send" then the typed words disapear and i assume the receipiant(sketch7000)is not receiving them...temporary fault/maintenance i assume...

Similar issue when trying to offer a trade to someone. It doesn't send the "Bloopy would like to trade collector cards..." message. The weird thing is that I had this problem yesterday when trying to offer a trade with Fredo (maybe because it changes his username to fredo in lower case for some reason), but then 2 other trade offers did work.

I saw a few hours back the site was having some real trouble operating, I would imagine some stuff's just gone awry and should be sorted pretty soon after admin notices and twiddles some knobs :)

We are aware of issues with collected Bingo rewards being not shown to users to redeem and some users having trade and message troubles. Darcy is working on this and will hopefully be resolved in the near future.

Hi all,

Lot of interest here, which is understandable, so here's a the story.

Headline is all rewards earned over the ~12 hour fault where rewarded correctly and were just not being displayed. Once corrected, those rewards can now be seen on your Rewards page. However, I typo'd the fix to that and there was a further ~30 minute fault that prevented rewards from being delivered, that has also now been corrected.

We've been tinkering away on some changes in the back end that change the way that the database references users - this is basically a switch from referring to users by their username, and instead referring to them by a unique identifier. Sequencing this change is often challenging as changing one function of the site has flow on effects. I saw a few people spamming the Bingo page with refreshes while it was in maintenance ~13 hours ago (love how keen you all were!), this was one of these changes while we updated the Bingo database, the Bingo page, and the Bingo card playing script. Once this work was complete, the Bingo board came out of maintenance and I went to bed - rookie error 😋 The Rewards script and database were not updated as part of that work, so Bingo was giving all the rewards to unique user IDs rather than usernames - hence why the Rewards page couldn't see those rewards, it wasn't looking for your user ID, it was looking for your name.
Easy fix - prioritise the changes to the Rewards scripts, database and Rewards page, which was completed when I woke up to a few problem reports (thank you so much to those who reported the problem by using the Report Problem button!).

Unfortunately, rushing that change meant there was a typo in one line of the updated script, which briefly meant rewards were failing to deliver. That was also fixed quickly thanks to @sheffy reporting the problem.

So, this significant background work will continue that allows us to roll out new features. Hopefully it stays as background work and you don't get the chance to see it in action as it breaks site features! However, if you do notice faults, please, please, please use the Report Problem link - it's the most effective way to alert staff to any issues and automatically provides useful information for initial troubleshooting. And its the only way to be rewarded with bug hunter rewards!

Oh, and the messages thing was a whole different problem that has also been corrected. Though we only had one member report that problem, so please I encourage you who took the time to post here to also Report a Problem next time.

First of all, well done and keep up the good work.
I noticed a couple more issues:
1. Successfully claimed coupons do not work (when you open a card it says that "You don't have a compatible Coupon to trade for this card").
2. The number of unclaimed rewards/unread messages do not appear at the top menu next to Profile as it used to.

But unfortunately I haven't received my Bug Hunter collect card, 500 XP and boosterpack yet, even though it said in the private message I received an hour ago :(

Hi SpK,

Not all coupons work for all cards, different coupons exist for cards with the higher rarity values.
We are aware of the profile menu notifications not displaying correctly.

I'm aware of the way the 3 kinds (simple, elite and X) of coupon work. The issue I'm referring to has to do with the simple coupons. More specifically, I earned a couple of coupons in a previous bingo board and claimed one of them. However, I cannot use it to earn any common-uncommon-rare cards since it is not shown as a choice at the page of such cards; at the rewards page it says it expires in 3 months and next to it that it was claimed (not "claimed and used" like the rest of rewards).

The coupons not appearing has now been fixed - another typo.
The cosmetic issue with the reward alerts in the menu has been fixed.
