Thumb Hunt Questions

Few questions about Thumb Hunt. I saw that there's few posts about it around 9 months ago, but still I'm not sure about few things.
1. Can I search for it in ANY video on the site? Like just click on some random video on the main page? Or more specyfic clips?
2. Do I need to watch WHOLE video or just click "play"? Or just need to go to the clip page without need of playing it?
3. Is the time of thumb hunt really that short? I mean I wasn't paying attention to it, went into Profile -> Rewards page and suddenly saw that I have around 8mins to get a Thumb Hunt. And I'm not sure if it was really that short or I was just not paying attention :D

1. Yes, any (except videos of fatal incidents, no games run on those).
2. The clue will be hidden within the video, so while you may not need to watch the whole thing, you will need to at least watch the bit with the clue.
3. The timings are varied, but 8 minutes is about middle-ground.

Adding a new question here... does anyone know if the thumb hunt works on an iPhone? I normally use my iPad but left it at home and am in a hotel with a lot of spare time this week! I'll give it a go anyway but if someone has triggered the clue from an iPhone, that would be great to know! I can't see a reason why it wouldn't work, but then I know nothing about this sort of thing!

I would say that you just have to keep watching and they will appear..I can watch say eight to ten videos and a thumb hunt clue is nowhere to be seen and then the next three things i watch will have a clue in each of them. The clues can appear in the last few seconds of a video so you do have to pay reasonable attention and persevere . Now then, what is a stinker is if your first clue after ages of waiting for one is a thumbnail with stuff all things to help whittle down what the blazes you are looking at!
