Set 68 All Down To Adelaide Story Of 1986
PaddockHillBend 5 yearsSo in this the launch week of Set 68 i have found it very enjoyable to have the cards available to find in all the various routes at the same time. Be it in a thumb hunt or a booster pack, the related video and the good old bingo board. This has resulted in me being able to find more cards than usual which i think has been very rewarding(fun) as an exercise.
Now that i have seen that you have the chance to get your name in lights in the gallery card set section if you are the first to complete a given set i was wondering how well some of my fellow committed card gatherers are going so far?
I often smile to myself when i see who is in the "owns this card" list and think crikey so and so is going well here
For myself as i write i can say its 71 cards found on my way to the finish line..which for me is pretty good going. I have a couple or three members in my shortlist to complete the set first.. I wonder if i will guess right...I know it does not matter too much in this crackpot world that we are currently in who does complete first but at least being around here is a fun distraction away from all that other stuff..

I'm enjoying collecting this set and so far have just reached 100.... unfortunately as always the last 5 or 10 cards will prove difficult I'm sure!
I am also fairly sure that there will be people with more than my total in this race to complete the set first... oh well, you cant win them all :)

Always love a bit of friendly competition! Despite spending a little bit of time around here, I'm only up to 13. But, just to stoke the fire a bit..
The top 7 totals for set 68 so far are; (totals include unique serials, whether they're normal or inverse)

Sadly I was away on work for most of the week so haven't been anywhere near as active on the searching (no thumb hunts and minimal bingo success!) Still I agree that I love when a set has the various ways of being collected. I'm just happy to have got my name in lights for set 67...

Thanks everyone... to be honest this is the hardest I've worked to try and be the first to complete a set so I'm glad I have managed to achieve it now. But I'm not sure I'll be able to dedicate quite so much time to the same task on the next new set that comes along, so hopefully a chance for someone else :)
What a great set of cards Set 68 is though, even though I raced to find them, I've loved looking at the great photos and the story of that year in F1!

106 at the present moment ;) Congrats to sketch btw :) Say, tomorrow is December 20th that marks the start of the end of the year-event. There was said more info would be unveiled before that date, but I haven't heard anything yet :( Anybody want to shed some light about what to expect and how to prepare ? :p
