Country Champions
V8s_are_the_BEST 9 months
Hey Legends, has anyone thought about doing a set of Country Champions, like 2 drivers from heaps of different countries, just like us from all over the world, i guarantee through different grades there are some amazing champions from each country, even if we did like members moments but with Country Champions?, just a thought anyway
Cheers

Maybe do the Race of champions, that would probably also cover most of your suggestion?

good idea, there are a number of drivers who were champions in their own country but never won (or maybe even raced) in any other country. I think that would be an even smaller niche that might be rewarding to find enough drivers to fill.

USA is the most common with Indy and NASCAR, but Supercars(ATCC) in Australia, BTCC in UK and TC/Stock Car Pro in South America would be great places to start.
Top of the list for me of course is 9 time Bathurst champ Peter Brock, one class win at Spa 1977, 2nd at Macau 1971, no wins outside aussie..
I go and visit the spot where he died every year, 40km from my house..

Great idea. Sorry for not replying at the time! When I was a kid, Andy Rouse was the BTCC’s Brock (albeit far less of a household name as BTCC was rather niche) where he won four titles and only lost out on winning more due to the silly Class B rules that allowed for slower cars to win the title.
